Stay Gold is my favorite book of the year. And Act Cool is my most anticipated book for the last part of the year. So I’m super happy to say that I was not disappointed reading August’s story! While I loved Pony’s story more, I had more fun with August’s group of friends, NYC, & the acting. 

One of my favorite things in books is a tight knit friend group. You know the kind you want to be in. August’s friends are that! Anna the gossip, Elijah the gushers guy, Juliet the fairytrans sister, aunt lil, jack, so many fun people. Another thing I loved was august felt like a genuine teenager. He’s flawed, he thinks he knows it all (the august method) and I think that’s how teenagers act! Is it frustrating? Yes! But that’s how teenagers act! 

Overall, august is another sweet cinnamon roll who I love with my whole heart ❤️
