Of course, he can't afford to be picky, so Yato accepts all kinds of jobs, from finding lost kittens to helping a student overcome bullies at school.

We learn a little more about this setting. It's alright!

What's with Japan and casual child death? They had it in the first episode of Bleach too.

I liked the little message about suicide is bad.

Alright. Hope Yukine isn't annoying after this. Feels like his story is a bit convoluted?

I like Kazuma, he seems fun. 

The characters are alright, but I'm never really sure where the story is going from episode to episode.

I think I saw that Adachitoka is a lady? I wonder what her avatar is.

I really enjoyed this one. I think the stories about Bishamon and her relationship with her Shinki are really touching. The story about Suzuha and the cherry tree. Oh man... Also Suzune worrying about Hiyori forgetting is also pretty moving.

It really makes the Shinki and deities' world building a lot more concrete. Bishamon is especially portrayed in a lonely and poignant light, which I appreciate.

Edit: Forgot to mention that it feels like some of the conversations feel disjointed. I don't know if it's a lost in translation issue or if just some of the dialogue is a bit odd due to the fantastical setting.

Yeah, I'm pretty into it now. Kind of wish they didn't translate umaibou into Deliciastick. It doesn't really work to make up a fictitious snack name if there's no English equivalent. Maybe "snack stick" would have worked better or even Umaibou snack? I know what an Umaibou is, but I didn't pick up on what they were going for with Deliciastick unfortunately.

I like the explanation for the different names for the clans. That's a nice touch.

Took me a moment to recognize Shiki as the stray Shinki. At first, I was wondering if Yato's old Shinki existed in the modern day.

The translator notes are really good as always! I'm curious about the Byakujou staff name too. But sometimes a name is just a name, I guess?

"Yato is still trapped in the underworld and Izanami is doing everything in her power to prevent his escape. The only one capable of helping him now is his old nemesis Bishamon. Will she find it in her heart to rescue her hated foe? Or is there another way?"--

Pretty good conclusion to the Bishamon arc. Kind of surprised by where the story went. Some of the stuff that I expected to remain status quo changed drastically.

(view spoiler)[I'm so glad that Kazuma survived. Really surprised they left Kugaha alive. I wonder how many of BIshamon's Shinki died in that attack. It was pretty ballsy of them to tell a backstory after the big fight, pushing the revelation of whether the characters are alright till afterwards. Is Hiyori out of the story??? (hide spoiler)]

This second volume added more depth to the characters and the world. It makes the whole concept of the story more interesting.
