While exposure to mythology has led to a widespread familiarity with the ancient Greek deities, daimons and heroes, comparatively little is known outside academic circles about how the ancient Greeks practiced their religion. Religion was an integral part of ancient Greek society - a society which provided Western civilization with many of its core values. Hellenismos is a beginner's book on Greek reconstructionism. While Hellenismos can be readily incorporated into busy schedules leading to a tangible enrichment of life, it can also lend itself to years of study and devotion.
