What? What?? WHAT?!?

It's not that there was anything overtly BAD in this book. The Characters, they weren't the best, but they HG characters either. The Writing wasn't bad. The plot...

Okay. here it is: There was stuff happening. If stuff hadn't been happening... well I probably wouldn't have stuck it out this long anyways, but the point is, Stuff WAS happening. I'm just not sure what that stuff was, why it was happening, or where it was leading to. A little after my last GR update, I skipped ahead and read the last chapter, just to see if it was leading to anywhere that made sense.
Um... It didn't.

In my experience, by the time you're a fourth of the way through a book, you can skip to the last page, read it, and connect the dots in between. Not saying that the dots here weren't unconnectable. They were. I could see how we could get from where I stopped to what happened in the last chapter. It's just... one has to wonder WHY. Why is any of this happening?

You know what, I'm having a really hard time explaining what my problem with this was. Maybe it's because I think anyone would have hard time explaining WHAT this book was. I mean, you look at the description on goodreads. You look at the inside flap of the book. You look at the back of the book. Nowhere does it actually tell you what this book is about. 

At this point, I'm not sure if this book was supposed to be about guy who was a religious nutso, but had actually talked to God and stuff (Like Joan of Arc) or if it was about a guy who had serious mental problems (Like they say Joan of Arc had)

It was CONFUSING. I didn't know WHY anything was happening. And that made the WHATS that were happening confusing. And the WHERE we were going to completely nonsensical.
