Tragic I have had this book on my TBR for the LONGEST time, its been a book I have been meaning to get to. I am not sure why I stopped reading this series but I did decide that when it comes to this author, audiobooks are the best way to go. I knew that this book would be heartfelt and very emotional. I mean just looking at the cover, you know that this pair won't have an easy road and I did enjoy seeing this author develop this story with a mix of some fun tropes. What we have with Tragic is a set of tropes includingL Fling, Accidental Pregnancy, Grumpy Sunshine, Next Door Neighbor, and Enemies to Lovers. So I really had a fun time in seeing this author develop this story and the way that these characters come together. These two really have some fun angst, and most of it comes down to our hero who is reclusive and grumpy. He hides his pain by being a grump and broody and it's delightful seeing our heroine stand up to him and the sexual tension between them is superb. I really liked the way that this author wrote their tension while also building on the emotional tension that builds between them. (view spoiler)[I loved how she implemented the pregnancy as it blew me away. Those who have read the book know what I mean by that but I never expected this trope to happen and I loved that. (hide spoiler)] I also really liked seeing a family heal of their past hurts and I need the brothers story which is book two in her Gypsy Tin series so very excited to grab that one up there.

4.5 stars Gah, this one was an emotional one. Big surprise that a book titled Tragic would end up being just that.. tragic. Kaine’s story was heartbreaking and I appreciated the realness of his journey working through all of his rage, heartbreak and loneliness due to the tragedy from his past. I loved the overall theme of Piper and Kaine’s “magic” and how they both kind of brought each other to life. More specifically, Piper with Kaine and her ability to be his calm in some of his worst moments. I’m glad I got Isaiah’s backstory after meeting him in the first Clifton Forge book. Can’t wait to get the rest of his story once I get back to that series.

4.5 ★ this one hurt not gunna lie
