Filthy Little Pretties Hillcrest Prep Book 1
Reviews

This is my second book that I’ve read by Trilina and I’m really loving her writing style. Our main characters Donovan, Grey and Liam have such great chemistry. They’ve been friends forever and have such a great friend dynamic. The banter and secrets that they share with each other made their relationship feel real and not forced. But, when you bring in romantic feelings into the relationship, it makes any situation tricky. I thought this book was a lot of fun. It really grabbed my attention from the beginning and it had Gossip Girl vibes. If you love the high school drama, cattiness, and lots of steamy scenes, you’ll surely won’t be disappointed with this book. I can't wait to read book two! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rating: 4 Stars - Loved it Filthy Little Pretties by Trilina Pucci was a flirty, cute, easy New Adult read. I loved that readers got to experience Donovan, Grey and Liams friendship before boundaries are tested and the angst starts in. The Rowing backdrop was interesting. Curious if this will be a series. Some secondary characters did catch my attention.

Hear me out. I like it but not really. They were trios in their friendship which is adorable but Donovan had to leave so they made a promise with each other. It's only the beginning but it really disappoint me when they broke their promise, that is to never replace her with Caroline. I get that she became Grey's stepsister but the narration is all over the place. One moment they hate her, then they love her, then will hate her if Donovan says so (Like they don't know that Donovan hates Caroline since they were kids 🙄). They act like Donovan was their God (or maybe just Grey) but they did the opposite of she wanted so their povs felt insincere and forced. Don't even start with me about how they shared Donovan intimately (I thought it'll be a throuple until the end because of this) but they fought with each other to win Donovan's heart. Then Liam said he's not really into her and that he only loves her as a best friend, nothing more (correct me if I'm wrong) Ugh! Then in the epilogue, Liam was like chasing Caroline wew. It's messed up in my opinion, I mean they are all messed up-Surprise lmao. I also hate how Grey went around to kiss another girl and threw harsh words towards Donovan just to get back on her which is only a misunderstanding. I agree with Liam on this one, Grey doesn't deserve her and he's a jerk. I'll give them a point for the tension and some parts that I enjoyed reading which is when I think that their friendship is really cute.
