This novel is a masterpiece! I found it difficult to put it down, I was well and truly hooked. The plot twists, especially the ending was definitely unexpected, not once did I imagine "Fintan" to be behind Zoe's disappearance. It was incredibly well written, I hated every single character yet still felt their pain of losing Zoe. I've read some reviews stating that Knox inserted himself into the story was borderline narcissistic however, the fact he did was genius. It added that little bit extra, and made the book feel real.

i really liked this! the beginning dragged a bit for me but once we hit the 50% mark i was fully hooked! this is told in interview format which made it very easy to just fly through. the ending was wild but not 100% satisfying to me - hence the knocking off half a star. i would highly recommend this to those interested in "true crime" stories.

I really loved this one. For some reason, when I first started it I thought I had heard that this was a true story, so I got super confused and wondered how on earth I’d never heard of this story. The narration is wonderful and I would definitely recommend listening to the audiobook version of this.

A story absolutely made for audiobook. Any fan of true crime podcasts will love this story. I could confidently swear that this was in fact the male version of Ashley Flowers and the story told was truly a true crime story.

It was difficult at first to get into. The story had so many voices and it was irritated trying to fit all the pieces together, I found the author arrogant and thought that inserting himself into the story as a character rather than just a narrator of sorts was an ego move and offered no substance to the story, and to be honest I was a bit bored. But once the twists started coming out, I found myself hooked. In the end, I felt satisfied but not blown away
