Trylle: The Complete Trilogy
Reviews

for my 10th birthday my aunt gifted this book to me second hand and i spent the entire year reading it in english class. this was actually the first proper ya book i read, and i have to admit for a 10 year old i really enjoyed the book(even though a 10 year old probably SHOULDNT b reading this). i really think the trilogy is super underrated and doesn't get the love and attention it deserves. it's definitely one of my favourites, although i need to re-read it. To sum it up, this is definitely worth the read. (and if/when you read it, definitely read the Kanin Chronicles next. i just finished them and omg)

So this was a nostalgia reread and ... as much as I loved this series in middle school ... this was not great. If there had been more details written in and more time spent on developing the characters and plot, this book series probably would have been a lot more popular. But re-reading it, it's very bare-bones and has not one, but two cases on insta love. Also (view spoiler)[ an epilogue with pregnancy is something I completely blocked out so there's that (hide spoiler)] Overall, 3 stars, and my need to reread this series has been settled. And please future me just spare yourself the urge to reread this and pick up a different bad early YA series instead.

I enjoyed this so much, it was such a pleasant surprise! This story will stay with me for a long time, I can tell!
