I got out a lot more from this book than I expected. I had seen some reviews from some people on Youtube, and they had said that it was good, but disappointing on some ends. I disagree. Although I don't know a lot about Russian history, it was easy to follow the plot of this book. I liked the main character and the narrator of the story, Natalya. I liked how although she wasn't strong on the outside, she held herself together and made wise decisions. She was a smart character and I agreed with her decisions that she made throughout the story. I also liked how you were waiting for the love triangle, but it never came. I liked how that topic was dealt with, because you never actually had to make a decision. And the setting of this book was beautiful. Russia itself is a beautiful country, and with the way the author described it, I could imagine the beauty. 


I really, really liked this book. Although it took me a few days to get through, i enjoyed the pace of the book, and I think it's a book that you have to take your time with
