Tunnel of Bones Cassidy Blake #2
Reviews

J'ai dévoré ce bouquin, comme le précédent. Le mystère autour de Jacob s'épaissit et Cassidy est toujours aussi attachante ! Je recommande !

Wow... Full review soon xoxo, Bea

Absolutely love this series!! It’s developing so well I’m so into it! I really can’t wait for book 3. I’m honestly obsessed with this book, it was so amazing! I believe this is marketed as middle grade but it is just so well written I didn’t even really notice. It was interesting, the plot was good, and the world building was great! Can’t wait to see what happens in the next one or where we go next.

From book one two book two the ghost level up like a boss in adventure game. But for me still book one more scary than tunnel of bones. Looking forward for the third book coming up next year~

For the second book entry into the Cassidy Blake series, Cassidy and her family, who happen to be ghost hunters and the hosts of the paranormal TV show The Inspecters go to Paris to do some paranormal investigation. First stop: the catacombs! And when Cass mistakenly frees a poltergeist from the catacombs, she and her spectral best friend, Jacob, must race against the clock to stop it before it wreaks irrevocable havoc on all of Paris. On top of all this, it doesn't help that Cassidy is tasked by Lara with using her ability to travel into the Veil and send ghosts on. Cassidy has been testing out her new abilities – all while secretly fearful that she’ll one day have to use them to send her best friend, Jacob, “on.” For now though, she has got to stop a poltergeist. This was enjoyable sequel to City of Ghosts, one that deepens the mythology and worldbuilding of the series. Cassidy continues to be a wonderful heroine and a believable pre-teen. This is a great middle grade horror-mystery book, whose creepy subject matter and themes of friendship and family should appeal to fans of Neil Gaiman's children/young adult books such as The Graveyard Book. I look forward to the third book in the series and more Harry Potter references.

3.5 stars | I enjoyed this one a bit more than the first one. It's a wonderful book for the target audience x.

A solid 3 cause the ending was very underwhelming!

3 stars. Easily could’ve been 4 had it not been for the excessive and annoying as hell Harry Potter references.

This one didn’t hit as hard as the first one for me. It was still good, because it was Victoria Schwab and she’s one of the most talented writers ever, but I don’t think this particular book is her best work.

I love this book! It’s such a cute series!! Cassidy is so awesome and Jacob is just fantastic. I loved the addition of Lara and Adele as well as all the history and geography of Paris, I could almost see this book in my head! I absolutely adore this series and can’t wait for the next one!!

3.5

4.5 stars So good and so much more realistically spooky. You can tell that Cassidy is a Gryffindor through and through. And I just want to know Jacob's fate in the next book.

This was an enjoyable read but did not live up to the first book in the series in my opinion. I felt that everything fell into place far to simply and easily within the story. Whilst I am mindful this is partially due to the middle grade target audience it felt too convenient, even to satisfy these readers. However the book was really well written and I enjoyed exploring Paris, and the Catacombs in particular, through Cassie’s eyes

Loved this sequel to City of Ghosts. As I get to know Cassidy and her quirky family I can't help myself thinking we would have been great friends. I loved the addition of new characters as well as the growing friendship between old ones. Schwab has created great fleshed out characters that even an old (22) person like me can relate to. I can't wait to read the next installment and see what Cassidy does next. Also more Grim please :D

Excellent instalment in the Cassidy Blake series, the types of ghosts behind the Veil growing and changing, new country and city to explore, here Paris, France, and more details about Jacob's history. The cliff-hanger promises at least one more story and I can't wait!

This was such an enjoyable listen! Cassidy and Jacob's friendship develops is such a great way. I truly enjoyed the plot of this as well it was so compelling and well written. I can't wait for the last book to come out!

TW/CW: LOTS of HP references

Onto Paris! I love how different haunted Paris feels from haunted Edinburgh. We get more of Jacob’s story here. He feel more solid (in more ways than one.) Cassidy and Jacob kept me laughing as they navigated the catacombs of Paris and tried to stop a poltergeist from wreaking havoc over the entire city. The best friendship deepens even as Cassidy starts to question whether she should “do what she’s supposed to” as an in-betweener, and send Jacob’s soul on. This is a great follow up to City of Bones.

These books are so fun! I’m really enjoying listening to these audiobooks, and I can’t wait for the third to be released! It’s the perfect easy read for when you want something fun and a bit magical!

In City of Ghosts, Cassidy goes to Edinburgh with her family. Now in Tunnel of Bones, they're in Paris. I loved the setting and have been lucky enough to actually visit Paris, so I felt like I was along for the ride. Schwab has a way with writing and this story was very atmospheric. I loved the spooky vibe at times. Reading this on a cold and rainy night added to this as well and was perfect! Tunnel of Bones is a bit darker than City of Ghosts. This time around Cassidy has to stop a poltergeist from getting too dangerous. I really enjoyed the whole adventure and spooky moments while trying to figure everything out. And yes, even though it was dangerous, I loved that Cassidy took time to research everything and find out who this little boy was. She found out who he was and what happened and really wanted to help him move in. Even for her age, she realizes that she has a responsibility in some ways to help. Besides that side of the adventure, I really enjoy her parents and the show they make. It's fun seeing that talked about during the story. Also, Cassidy's best friend Jacob has a bigger part in this story. We find out what happened to him and even if he is a ghost, he's an amazing best friend. All in all, this was a fun and spooky middle grade adventure that I just couldn't put down. I loved how the story progressed and how the characters grown throughout the story. I'll be anxiously awaiting the third book in this series!

I really enjoyed this one, actually a little more than the first one. It’s just a fun series with a pretty clever plot for a children’s book with things happening that I never seem to see coming. I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series to see what’s going to happen next.

4.5 Really loved this second book and what it added to the series!

hell yeah book 2 of the series I have finished, and wow this is one of my favorite series I have read this year and I am so happy that I bought the first book last week. for this book I have listen to a audiobook. And it was just amazing as reading the first book. why did I give it 4 star's because I was a little bit less intrestted in the book it self but the story is just so good. and I will be continue reading and listening to the third one, is that the final one?
