The concept of this book focuses on nurturance culture, which is nice enough. Mostly the author focuses on two essays and then there are talk sections where she reaches out to community members to dissect the topics further. I wanted something different from this book, but it wasn't bad overall.

Turn This World Inside out started as an online essay, and honestly, if you read a few of Samaran's pieces on the web, you probably don't need to read this book. The main additions for the print edition are some interviews, but they are disorganised and lacking in thorough analysis. I would have liked to see an actual book length exploration on nuturence culture rather than this collection of things I've already read and interviews that didn't feel interesting enough to justify a book. Alas!
