Perhaps this is my fault for not looking this book up before purchasing it, but I assumed this book would grapple with the way the Church's theology is unchristian but it really just is an examination of the Church's "image problem".

I did skip to the chapter on homosexuality to see if theology would be touched on at all, but it wasn't. Kinnaman didn't even give a brief overview on what the most common theological perspective evangelicals and born-agains have on homosexuality let alone why that theology might be/is "unchristian".

This book is not one to listen to. It was a lot of statistics and not what I was hoping it would be. I didn't finish it. It seems like a book to skim over. Moral of the story. Statistics are boring to listen to.
