A summer job working in a store called Unclaimed Baggage cataloging and selling other people's lost luggage. Together they find that through friendship, they can unpack some of their own emotional baggage and move on into the future.

I would give this book 3.5 stars for reivew*

I really enjoyed the setting and the characters in this book. It was a super fast summer themed read. It was fast pace read that dealt with harder topics but was in such a easy to digest way. I thought this book tackled so many current issues in such a "slice of life" way that was so well done. I thought all the main characters brought such a fun POV to the novel and I really enjoyed them all! I would de read more by this author in the future. The setting and the store was charming framework for the story!

The plot of the book was so different from any other book I've ever read. I mean a story about three people working in a store which sells lost luggages? It sounded so fun and interesting, and thankfully, I wasn't disappointed. I am a sucker for friendship stories and Unclaimed Baggage gave me a really sweet dose of friendship and love. Doris was my favorite character from the book. I loved how she was so independent and how she never stopped believing her own thoughts and opinions. Jen Doll's writing style is so simple and beautiful, I never got bored while reading the book. I loved the friendship between Doris, Nell and Grant. The author did an amazing job of weaving their imperfect but relatable lives. Their was a little mystery of a missing suitcase as well, and I loved the story behind it. I read this book during May, when people were standing up against the abortion law in Alabama. I got to see a a back-dated and cruel side of Alabama in this book as well, and it really saddened me. Some really important issues were bought into light in the Unclaimed Baggage. This book was a mixture of so many beautiful elements!
