I think warners point of view really gave more to his character and adam’s was just there, like it didn’t really tell me anything new but it wasn’t bad.

Adam's POV of the events at the end of Unravel Me just felt a little unnecessary except to point out his negativity and toxic side of viewing Juliette as a burden and doubting whether they should be together. I did, however, enjoy seeing more of James and having this little insight into Adam's relationship with his brother.

It was fantastic having this all in one place, being able to see inside Juliette's mind when she is her most honest and vulnerable and the strength she draws from these thoughts.

This a one of the novels from the shatter me series’s. I loved unite me. You can really empathize with Warner his feelings but also Adam his feelings. James was for Adam the most important and that was so sweet. He really wanted to protect Juliet but but he found it hard to do it on the right way. Warner couldn’t get enough of Juliette. One thing was sure he would do anything to protect her.

I enjoyed diving back into the shatter me universe. I definitely need to reread the first three books before I can start restore me because apparently I don’t remember anything about the story 😅 
I liked to see the different points of view a lot although nothing really surprised me. 3,5/5

Basically the two first novellas with Juliette's journal at the end. Still good!

Adam makes me irrationally angry. He was always like Juliette can’t handle this and all that. But Warner… he was like you are strong, powerful, beautiful. That’s why we love him.

Being able to read Warners perspective really gave an insight of his true feelings, and I highly recommend anyone reading the shatter me series to read the novellas as from there you begin to see the true colours of Adam and Warner and Juliette's diary is beautifully written. Mafi never disappoints me 😭❤️

Unite Me is a bind-up of the novellas Destroy Me, Fracture Me, and fragments of Juliette’s diary. So I will share my opinion of each story separately. 

 “I’ve never read anything like this before. I’ve never read anything that could speak directly to my bones.”  

Destroy Me is Warner’s novella. It is my favourite story of the bind-up for several reasons. Warner is one of my favourite characters of the Shatter Me series due to his complex characterisation and his strong personality. Reading from his perspective was fascinating. Warner’s organised, almost clinical narration is completely different from Juliette’s chaotic and emotion-focused narration. Continuing, Destroy Me sheds another light on Warner’s character and how he tries to survive in this postapocalyptic world. In this way, it added another layer to the original Shatter Me books. Lastly, the time covered by his novella fits an interesting gap about our knowledge of the ongoings of the Reestablishments between book 1 and book 2. 

“All I can think is how horrible and beautiful it is, that our eyes blur the truth when we can't bear to see it.” 

Fracture Me, the second novella, was from Adam’s perspective. This was my least favourite story and not only because Adam is my least favourite character of the series. My main reason for disliking the story is the inconsistency in Adam’s characterisation. The Adam portrayed in Fracture Me is unrecognisable from the Adam in the first two books of the Shatter Me series. His relationship with his little brother suddenly feels authoritarian and a chore compared to the loving relationship they had in the other books. Also, he comes across as a complete jerk in his thoughts and opinions about Juliette. I did enjoy the plot of the novella and how Kenji is a true friend of Juliette. 

“Because these words I write down are the only proof I have that I'm still alive”

The last addition to Unite me were Juliette’s diary entries. It was interesting to read them because they give an insight in her experiences and thoughts when she was imprisoned in the asylum. However, they are difficult to read due to the repetitiveness of the writing (e.g. I am not insane was at least written twenty times in sequence). Furthermore, they were kind of unnecessary because most of them are already included in Destroy me. 

In conclusion, I have mixed feelings about these novellas. The main weakness of Unite Me is the inconsistency in Adam’s characterisation. Besides that, Unite me is a good addition to the Shatter me series. I think they add some extra layers to the main books and explains events and situations that were not included in the novels. If you love the Shatter me series, I think it is worthwhile to read Unite me too.

Destroy Me: 2.5/2.5

Destroy Me is and excellent addition to the Shatter Me series and I enjoyed the fact it delved in to Warner’s situation between Shatter Me and Unravel Me. It was great to see behind the scenes and see what his life is really like and Tahereh Mafi did a great job adding slightly more depth to Warner’s character development with this little novella. If you love Warner, you’ll get a lot of insight into his character especially if you have not yet read Ignite Me.

Fracture Me: 1/2.5

Fracture Me is from Adam's perspective and starts off close to the end of Unravel Me. It was great to finally read from Adam's perspective and get a better insight into him as a character. However he is a character I have disliked very much from the get go so I didn't particularly enjoy this. I found this novella to be pretty boring and wasn’t a necessary addition to the series.

Overall Rating: 3.5 Stars

If you're in love with the series and want more Warner because it's Warner, then reading this should be a no brainer. If you didn't become a squealing fan girl like myself (I have a soft spot for cliche books with broken bad boys), I still recommend reading these novellas. They offer an interesting insight into the characters of Warner and Adam (unfortunately no inside look into the mind Kenji). Written similarly to the series in terms of language but there was a definite difference in tones from Juliette to Warner to Adam, which is what truly made the difference for me.
