I want to thank William Morrow / HarperCollins Publishing and Jenna Bush Hager for this ARC of  Everything Beautiful in Its Time. 

This book is not political, though politics are unavoidably present. This book is not religious, though religion is a major presence in Jenna Bush Hager's life. What this book is is a beautiful story of a family, the rules, the laughs, the humiliations, and the sorrows they shared together. The way they encouraged each other, supported each other, and, sometimes, even criticized each other, feels genuine in a way that truly resonates with the reader. 

Jenna Bush Hager is telling a story about world leaders, but through her narrative they simply become dad and Gampy and Gammy. As someone who grew up in the Southwest, her stories of going fishing with her grandfather or running through the yard at her grandparents home was something that struck so close to my own memories that it brought tears to my eyes. 

This book is beautiful and emotional. It was a joy to read.
