Welcome to the world of ExtraOrdinary. When high school student Charlotte Tills is revived from a fatal bus crash, she awakens with ExtraOrdinary powers. Incredibly rare and potentially dangerous to themselves and others, few people know about the existence of ExtraOrdinaries, and an organizing called EON is determined to keep it that way, hunting and killing all they can find. Reborn and renewed with the ExtraOrdinary ability to see how people will die in the future, Charlotte is forced to go on the run when she witnesses her own death at the hands of EON’s top assassin, Eli Cardale. Now, to save her own life and protect her family, Charlotte must go on the offensive and hunt Eli down before he can find her. Includes – for the first time ever in print – the Vicious Universe short story Warm Up, by V. E. Schwab and illustrated by Victo Ngai. Collects issues #0-4 of ExtraOrdinary.

It just felt so great to be back in the Villians world, even if it didn't last that long.

ExtraOrdinary was a wonderful little walk alongside a new EO character, Charlotte. Her story was short, but I devoured it.

The extra short story, Warm Up, was also a great added bonus!

I cannot get enough of this world and these characters!

Super short but the art was beautiful and the story intriguing, it made me immediately want to buy the next instalment.

It’s no secret that V.E. Schwab is my queen and Vicious is one of my all-time favorites. So I’m really happy being back in the Villains universe and see Victor and Eli again.

ExtraOrdinary follows the story of Charlotte Tills, a high school student who is revived from a fatal bus crash. Charlotte wakes up to find that she has become an EO, a person with ExtraOrdinary abilities, and gains the ability to foresee people’s deaths including hers. She sees her own death at the hands of Eli, a notorious EO assassin. Instead of waiting for Eli to find her, she sets off to hunt him and to change her fate.

Before anything else, let’s take some time to appreciate this gorgeous cover! I really love the art style. It’s extraordinary *wink wink* Haha! Hands down to Enid Balam and Jordi Escuin Llorach for the stunning illustrations! We get to meet new intriguing characters and I can’t wait to get to know more about them. Even though I’m already familiar with some of the events, it’s still an entertaning and very exciting read. I also think that this is a good introduction if you haven’t read the Vicious series yet. I’m sure that after reading this graphic novel, you’d want to read the whole series. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next issue. Now I want to reread Vicious!

An original 2013 text short story called Warm Up, which is set in the Vicious universe, is also included in this copy.

*Thanks to TitanBoks and TitanComics for proving a free copy. This did not affect my overall opinion of the book.

Twelve years ago, Eli Cardale and his college friend, Victor Vale, developed ExtraOrdinary abilities after experimenting with near-death experiences. Eli swore his revenge and for ten years he hunted for Victor before finally tracking him down and attacking him, for which he was promptly arrested. But instead of incarceration, Eli found himself conscripted by the mysterious EON organization and tasked with hunting down and killing any other EO he could find. When reports of high school student Charlotte Till’s miraculous near-depth escape from a terrible bus crash reached Eli, he knew he had found his next target…
