Amazing book! This book was based off the events that took place back in the seventies in Combodia when Khmer Rouge came into power. This book is based off the Arthurs own story. I thought this book was very touching, I had to read a little at time, because it would get me to crying. The story is told from seven/eight year old Raami, who was world was turn upside from said events. But she manages to cling onto memories and childhood stories that she learned from her parents and other family members, to help her, not get over, but more cope, with the loss that she suffers. Highly recommend this.
