Pippa was a bit of a Mary Sue, everything always fell in her favor. I didn’t dislike her but she had no faults. Her love interest, I don’t think he was worth it all. The nineteenth century is my current favorite to read about, I did enjoy the setting. The writing was good. The plot was the best part, I really wanted to know what would happen, the mystery was more exciting than the romance! One of my theories was true but I didn’t predict any of the other twists! Good book.
