So, an unfortunate thing happened with this book. My cat is called Nova so every time it was mentioned...
Anyway, we’ve been waiting years for Nate’s book. And I love his girl. Or girls.
I loved seeing our old favourites, they all make an appearance.
But this book didn’t feel fleshed out. We didn’t get a lot of steamy scenes, something we got a lot of in fallen crest. Developments with Logan and Taylor and Sam and Mason were skipped over. I know it’s not their book, but don’t mention it, don’t bring them in if you’re not going to do something with them. It doesn’t make this feel like the end of fallen crest. Is it? I think we’ve had a few ends now but more always seem to pop up.
But things with Quincey’s dad didn’t feel fleshed out or well resolved. It was too easy and things were just forgotten about. It didn’t feel like a fallen crest book.
I don’t know whether this was hyped up because we’ve been waiting so long for it, or whether there are legitimate issues with this book. Perhaps I’ll never know, but I was hoping for more.
