Waiting On You is now one of those favorites. I don’t think I’ve laughed so much with a Higgins book before. And at the same time, my heartstrings have never been pulled so taut before either. In other words, ALL THE DAMN FEELS! I think the beauty in the relationship between Colleen and Lucas is that these two knew they were meant to be from the moment they laid eyes on one another, back in high school. Their love was everything first love is: overwhelming, intense, beautifully pure. But life has a funny way of throwing things for a loop sometimes, taking your life plans and shredding them so completely. Our Colleen and Lucas were subjected to such a fate, and so the whole book I’m just waiting for life to work out for them. There are tons of emotional ups and downs in this book, plenty moments to shed tears for, but there are also some hilariously awesome moments. I think the hilarious moments were necessary to balance out the emotional aspect and Higgins did a great job of it. Other characters we’ve met before make appearances and we get to see where they are now, which is always nice. We also get to know Connor, Colleen’s twin brother, a little better. In fact, he completely intrigued me in this book and I hope we get a Connor book soon! Even though Waiting On You is technically part of a series, you could completely read this one as a stand-alone, and I strongly urge you to check it out. I have no doubt you’ll love it too. :)

So I'm addicted to this series!!!! I can't stop reading them, my third one in under a week. I'm so content and happy with these stories, so well written and each so different... which I am so glad about!! 

In some reviews people have mentioned not warming up to Colleen, which I was surprised at! It was great to finally get to know her after being featured in the other two books asI have wondered why she was still single when it was clear she was a very beautiful and fun person.You could feel her pain and her pull towards Lucas through out the whole book. 

Lucas story made me sad, (then again I have found the story of all three male interests background sad so far) for typical love stories, these books donor feel so typical, hence why I have been unable to put them down.. in fact I am about to download the fourth right now!!!

I would've loved this book if it weren't for this one thing that happened near the end: (view spoiler)[I cannot BELIEVE that Lucas actually called Colleen a WHORE. Maybe he didn't say it explicitly, but he implied it, and I couldn't forgive him for that. And I really wished he'd done more to make up for leaving Colleen and hurting her (and oh yeah, for calling her a whore). (hide spoiler)] This was my first Kristan Higgins book, so I'm a little bummed that this left me with a sour taste in my mouth by the end. Still, I'll more than likely read some other of her books (that are hopefully better).
