The book ‘Wake Up Missing’ Is a mysterious and dramatic tale of four children that have suffered from concussions and are recommended to a medical research center in the Florida swamps. But little do they know that something about this clinic is terribly wrong, and if they don’t figure it out soon enough to escape, they may just lose themselves forever. As I began reading this story, I enjoyed the family and friendship in it. The mystery near the middle was exciting but a bit dark and strange. The middle to end of the story turned dark and tragic. Although this story had a happy ending like most books, I didn’t enjoy it as much as other books from this author, Kate Messner. (Your my favorite author. You Rock!) Overall, I rate this book a 3.5 stars.

In this futuristic mystery, Cat has fallen out of a tree and has suffered traumatic brain injury. Doctors haven't given her parents any hope that she will recover from the headaches and the forgetfulness that have become part of her life, so they send her to a swamp in Florida to I-CAN, an organization that has supposedly has had success treating the type of injuries that Cat suffers from. After Cat has been there for only a day, she starts to believe that there is something wrong with what is going on at I-CAN. This story has an interesting premise, but is fairly unbelievable. There is lots of action and suspense, but the characters are not really developed and the story is too short to really bring the story to life. Overall a fairly unremarkable read.
