Seems like a pretty faithful adaptation of the movie. I miss some of the beautiful scenes of the movie. Feels like some stuff isn't in there too?

What a promising plot. I found the concept of Hina being able to affect the weather really interesting. I was sometimes a bit confused with the story, I think because I didn’t quite get when time passed or not. I think the story takes place over at least a month but I can’t be sure since there are no indications. The characters are quite nice and I’m dying to know more about each one of them. I think they have all interesting and mysterious stories. However, it was maybe too mysterious as I didn’t learn a lot about the characters and the story just gives me more questions without answering any. On the other hand, the artwork is really nice and beautiful. There is also a movie so I think I’ll watch it after reading the second volume of this manga. I recommend this manga to everyone, especially young adults.

I will always and forever love anything written by Shinkai Makoto. He's one of my absolute favorite authors, and his stories are seriously brilliant. When I found out that there was a manga adaptation of his light novel Weathering with You releasing last year, I just knew I had to pick up a copy for myself. And this month, I finally got around to reading it!

This volume was just as amazing as I thought it'd be. There were definitely a few differences in the storyline and plot from the light novel, but even with those differences, I still really enjoyed the story and thought it actually made it a bit stronger. Shinkai has this brilliant vision that he's able to portray through the story, and with the help of Kubota Wataru illustrating this story, I think I was able to fall in love with it even more, if possible.
