What a wonderful conclusion to this stand-alone series! I laughed, I cried, my heart broke in two... I was feeling it all! Katherine understands logic and facts. That's all she really believes in. One night, she meets her match in Theodore "Theo" Bane. They have a wonderful night swing dancing and end up tangled in the sheets. It is later that Katherine finds out that she's pregnant. Katherine doesn't like changes. She likes to plan, and this is completely out of plan. Thankfully, Theo is there to help her through it all, not only for her and the baby, but to show her he's interested in more than just co-parenting. I wonder how sharing space with him would end, knowing I had no control over my brain's traitorous chemicals beyond keeping a safe distance. If I couldn't smell him, I wouldn't want him. It seemed fairly simple. I wondered if some essential oil might help, something potent. Like menthol or maybe something stronger. Like gasoline. Man, being inside Katherine's head was really interesting. She's very strict, serious, and set in her ways. In the previous books, I was really curious about her and this book shows exactly why she's needed to be this way. Because of certain things in her life, she also doesn't believe in love. It was wonderful to see Katherine's character development in this novel. I was completely hooked on her thoughts and the way she thinks, especially her candor. In many ways, she really did meet her match in Theo, but in others, Theo taught her to break out of her shell and to be flexible when things didn't go according to plan. "I want to believe the way I feel isn't one-sided. When I touch her, I know it's not. But she's not ready. So, I'll be patient and hope she either learns to trust me or can't fight it anymore. And if not... Well, I suppose there are worse things than wanting a woman who doesn't want you back." Theo is a complete gentleman! He's completely enamored by Katherine from the get-go and even though he truly wants to be with her, he gives her the space she needs while also helping her with the pregnancy. His patience, waiting for Katherine, had my heart breaking. I wanted him to be happy! It's impossible to not get attached to Theo and Katherine realizes just how much she loves spending time with him. He's the first person to ever get how she thinks and understand what she needs. I loved Katherine with a fierceness I'd never known. There had been no moment to pinpoint, no lightning bolt of realization. It had grown like ivy--in slow tendrils and unfurling leaves, day by day, hour by hour. It had been happening since the first time I laid eyes on her, in every minute spent with her, in every breath and heartbeat between us. I loved her. And God, how I wanted to keep her. Honestly, Theo had me falling hard for him. He's the definition of a tender gentleman. He's going down as one of my book boyfriends for sure! The way he gives of himself so much, the way he's so selfless and always puts others before himself, the way he treats his mom and Katherine, with such tender and loving care. He will surely melt your heart. I loved how this story felt so real and authentic in many ways. That's how Staci's writing has been with this whole series, but especially with this last book. It's so sad to say goodbye to such an amazing cast of characters with so many different personalities that I was totally loving and adoring and getting attached to. I'll definitely miss them. If you're into stand-alone series, I highly recommend this one! It is so much fun to read, with a lot of quirky conversations, an amazing romance, and great friendships! Well Suited is a feel good story that left me smiling when I read the last page. This is the fourth and final book in the Red Lipstick Coalition, but is a standalone. There are definitely minor spoilers if you haven't read the first three, but they aren't something that won't make you want to pick up the first three books after reading this. This was my first Staci Hart book and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Well Suited sucked me in from the start and the way it was written kept me hooked. In this story we follow Katherine, a librarian, who is very organized and follows quite a big set of rules. When she ends up pregnant after a one night stand, her rules go out of the window and she has to start dealing with the pregnancy and relationship with the father of her child. I loved how much humor was in this book. Some situations could be seen as very relatable (meeting the boyfriend's family for the first time) and made me laugh. Even if I couldn't relate, the way it was written had me smiling anyway. Even though Well Suited isn't a story we haven't seen before, the characters and events leading up to everything felt original to me. Katherine had a very free childhood and that isn't something she handled well. That is a big part of why she follows a strict set of rules and doesn't feel right if they aren't followed. I think her emotional journey was my favorite part of Well Suited. A woman who is stuck in a certain routine had her world turned upside down after a one night stand. I loved reading about her quirks and how she really starts thinking about them as the story and her pregnancy develops. For me she was a very heartwarming character and it won't be one I will forget very fast. Theo is a family man. He takes care of his mother who has Parkinson's disease, works for his brother (who is an author) and really just eventually wants to settle down. Meeting Katherine was like a whole world opened up for him. He knew it was her and that was that. Theo is definitely on my list of book boyfriends now. I loved how understanding he was when it came to Katherine's rules. He was really patient with her and took everything one step at a time. Theo was her rock and that's something she really needed! On top of these amazing characters, Theo's family and Katherine's friends are so much fun. Definitely a group of people that just belongs together. I loved their appearances in this story. I have to say the family secret Theo has was a bit out of place for me. I understand what the author was doing, but for me it came and went a bit too easily for the attention it received. Not that I need more drama, but it didn't completely feel like it fit this story. I can't forget to mention the romance in this story either. We get some steamy scenes, but also some really sweet ones. Them starting off with rules was really cute and seeing how they started feeling more for each other was very touching. Theo and Katherine are opposites in many ways, but work perfectly together! Well Suited showed us that love comes in many shapes and sizes, but it's what you think and feel that make it love!

Originally posted at Booklovers For Life “We do solemnly swear,” she recited, ”to use this shiny little tube of power to inspire braveness, boldness, and courage. We promise to jump when it’s scary, to stand tall when we want to hide, to scream our truth instead of whisper our fears. May we be mistresses of our destinies, and to hell with anyone who tries to tell us otherwise.” The anticipation for Well Suited was REAL after I finished Work in Progress (which was amazing). Katherine is the fourth and final girl in this Red Lipstick Coalition girl group, and I just KNEW she’d end up with Theo, the previous hero’s brother. Even better, theirs is an accidental pregnancy romance. I normally am not a fan of romances where a surprise baby is thrown in the middle of a book to further the plot, but thankfully this is different. We know about the pregnancy from the beginning, and we’re along for the ride with Katherine and Theo as they navigate their way towards parenthood, with love and romance along the way. Katherine is different. She’s very analytical and logical, and sees love as something to do with brain chemicals. Which is why when Theo enters her life, she doesn’t understand why he makes her think and feel differently than normal. He makes her want, so she gives in for one night… which unexpectedly leaves her knocked up. I could be her everything. She was already becoming mine. Theo has wanted Katherine from the moment he met her, and being around her makes him even more certain that she’s the one woman meant for him. Her getting pregnant couldn’t make him happier, since this is his chance to show Kate that they’re meant to be together. And boy, does Theo turn up the swoon dial! He is SO sweet, sexy, kind, understanding, and considerate of Kate. He really was the perfect man for her. I couldn’t get enough of Well Suited. It was a hot, fun read that left me with a smile on my face by the end. I adored Theo and Kate together, and of course I loved seeing the Red Lipstick Coalition gang again. If you want a series about a group of strong, independent women, you definitely need to read this series! Quotes are taken from the ARC and are subject to change in the final version.
