Is it just me or does Anna constantly annoy you. Her goody goody personality made me want to throw the book at the wall. I loved the fact that it was not insta-love and that there were some... ok a lot of rough patches in their relationship. I loved Blake in this book he was the comic relief and I really enjoyed him. I liked Kopano in this book and I felt bad for him. Kope is so nice (like Anna) and he likes her but she is so head over heals in love with Kaidan even though he dumped her. SPOILER ALERT: Anna was making a big deal about how Kope was a child of the duke of lust. Newsflash- so is Kai. In the end when Kope and Kai were fighting over Anna I thought it was cute but at the same time I was thinking, jeez Kai do you want her to get hypothermia Kope was just helping!!! I liked the book and I liked the writing but I just HATE Anna's personality.

"Sweet Peril" is the second book in the Sweet trilogy and picks up right where "Sweet Evil" ended. I really enjoyed the first book, so I decided to continue the series. It may have been that I haven't had much time to read lately, but "Sweet Peril" seemed to be a bit of a slower read. I felt that the first book possessed a plot with a faster pace and this may be because "Sweet Peril" is more of a filler novel that transitions from the first book, in which the Nephilim are controlled by the dukes, to the third novel, in which the revolution/battle bewteen the dukes and Neph will begin.
Here is a short synopsis of the book:
The entire story takes place during Anna's senior year of high school and continues into the summer after graduation. Sister Ruth's spirit finds Anna and tells her of an ancient prophecy that foretells of a possible redemption for the fallen angles. With this news, Belial decides to recruit Nephilim that are no longer loyal to the dukes. Anna travels the world with Kope and converts a couple Neph to their side. The dukes' suspicions of a traitor within their midsts continues to grow.
There was quite a bit of character development throughout the story. Kaidan continues to ignore Anna and attempts to focus on his musical career. However, he no longer wishes to work for his father and only keeps up the appearance of "working." Through these actions he hopes to become a man he believes is worthy of Anna. He also continues to envy Kope, who actually holds two sins, both wrath and lust. Kope genuinely loves Anna, but knows he can never start a life with someone whose heart will forever belong to another. 
Overall, the book was fairly well-written. The action picked up towards the end of the novel and the love story between Kaidan and Anna is still very sweet. However, the ending was a bit sad and disappointing with the death of a minor character.

After reading countless five stars reviews of Sweet Peril, I've decided it was time to pick up this pretty before I keep putting it off more.

In the second book, Anna begins working and polluting souls. She's still heartbroken and Kaidan Rowe is still the love of her life. She got a message from angels about a Prophecy involving a Nephilim then she finds herself travelling the world with Kopano to recruit other Nephilims to their cause.

I was expecting a lot from this book but I wasn't disappointed! The plot may be a bit lacking (they're just rounding up allies after all) but I found myself invested in the characters and the romance. War is brewing and Anna needs to stop worrying about her issues and just step it up to fight.

A question I had throughout this novel was, what was the so-called prophecy going to do for the Nephs? My questions wasn't answered in this novel but hopefully it will be in the third. The prophecy promised a second chance for all the Dukes but it never said what will happen to the Nephs. Do they get to keep living on Earth without the Dukes' control?

Gather allies for the cause introduces us to new characters. Zania and Flynn are new to the cause and I really like those two characters. Especially Zania. She's had a tough life and I really liked reading about all the difficulties in her life and how she has chose to overcome those and fight for the Nephilims.

A little bit on a spoiler side, but I gotta say I really liked the romance. At the end of the second book, was the love triangle somehow, eliminated?

This book definitely didn't disappoint. Even though I got more questions than answers, Sweet Peril was a stunning sequel to Sweet Evil. Pick this up if you've been putting it off! You won't regret it!

I have to say these books are just was I need right now. It's a quick easy read. and like I said in my review for the first book I am still trash for it. I don't even care. we have our teen angst, a love triangle and some action in there.

Ugh this book. Oh my gosh. I definitely didn't really like the beginning of the book too much, but as I kept reading I loved it more. I think I loved this book more than the first one to be honest. This book was great. I RECOMMEND IT.

I'm dead, I'm gone, I'm done. This book has destroyed me. This series has taken over my life and put me through such emotional hell and heaven and if your not reading this series there is something wrong with you. This series is perfect. The writing is perfect. The plot is perfect. Anna and Kaiden are perfect. Most of the time, I'm never this taken by a series, but even I, who can fault just about anything, cannot fault this book or the previous one. However, (to end my tirade) I did go into this series and this 2nd book with low expectations (a combination of judgment and sequel syndrome), but now I have very high hopes for the 3rd book, so I hope I'm not disappointed
