first of all--does the author know her name literally means "miracle" in german? 

second of all--maybe i should just acknowledge the fact that contemporary simply isn't for me. the problem is, i'm really in the mood for a cutesy-lovey-dovey teen romance, but i can't seem to find one that does me justice. i've read three (i think?) contemporaries in a row now, since i noticed my urgent need, and all i gave a 2-star rating which pisses me the hell off, because i actually own these books and i have a thing for not wanting to own books i never want to read again. 

i mean it was cute alright? but also so annoying. i couldn't connect with the main character (again), i didn't like the romance (again) and the writing wasn't for me (again). 

i felt like everything was so SO unrealistic--and maybe that isn't a problem, seeing it's "promise" BUT LIKE I DONT EVEN MEAN THESE WEIRD ASS OCCURRENCES, i mean the characters and i mean their traits and their personalities and the plot. 

i've been seriously rolling my eyes throughout whooping three contemporary novels. and knowing me, i ain't gonna stop reading them until i find one i'll actually like. (like amy and roger's epic detour. that one i enjoyed. but maybe if i'll go reread it, my opinion will change omgggg stop.)
