Overall, what you would expect from a Christian book on dating , waiting on God for a partner, a small part on life after marriage. Besides the portion on Eric writing love letters to his non-existent, future partner, I thought this book was a relatively enjoyable read. 

What I found most useful was the portion on family - where the author talks about how your home is the training ground for how you would treat your spouse. "You are only as holy as you are in your home." And "if you train yourself to model Christ now to those familiar and close, you will be superb at it when you get married."

"Leslie's parents told me before I married her, "Eric, the little quirks that you and Leslie both have can either be a source of irritation in your relationship or a source of humour and enjoyment. You need to learn how to cherish the funny little things both of you do!" 

I like that word cherish. If we learn how to find intimate pleasure in the unique way God has crafted those closest to us, we could turn what usually causes us to run away into an opportunity for great enjoyment and fun."
