Annabell Green was almost ruined a few years ago, by a man named Quinton Carlyle.. He is the nephew I believe of the women Annabell is a companion for.. Fast forward years later, and Annabelle is in a bind.. When she turns 25, she will inherit the property she is currently living on.. The only stipulation is that she has to be married.. Well she now only has a month to find a husband. Quinton is called home by his aunt to help annabelle find a husband. The thought is that hes a rake, and so he should be able to help her stay away from men that only want to marry her for her property..

Annabelle has the idea that quinton should just marry her, then he can go off to America and leave her alone. He doesn't like that idea and turns her down. 

Quinton was kind of a dick for most part. He doesn't want Annabelle to have to marry her neighbor and gets mad at her when she agrees to let the guy court her. But he isn't coming up with any better ideas at the time.. He does have a decent one later on.. 

I don't really have a specific reason why i didn't give this a higher rating.. I just didn't really connect with the characters. 

I didn't really connect with these characters, they just kind of annoyed me.
