review to come~~

4.75 Such a beautiful story told through a graphic novel. I would’ve given it 5 stars but I personally felt like the ending was unnecessary propaganda and took away from the beautiful storytelling.

This was a wonderful book that beautifully depicts the horrors and pain that of the war. I could not stop crying, every one should read this book once in there lifetime.

THIS BOOK. I have read Wonder and Auggie and Me, so when I heard about this i was super excited. I'm really thankful to be able to read this. This book was such an amazing and powerful story that I think everyone should read. (Side note the pictures were amazing). This book made me cry, it made me mad. This was a sad book but an important one. I definitely recommend this book just be aware this book WILL make you cry. This book was Just incredible

** spoiler alert ** Books about Holocaust are always interest me. Maybe because I never get the information from school and knew about Holocaust quite late, it became something that I am really interest it and want to learn and know more about. White Bird is a great book. It talks about Holocaust in a way that kids can understand. It’s like an introduction. We follow a journey of Julian and Sara. I was so invested in the story, even though it was fiction but the author did her research and I truly appreciate that. Update: I forgot to add my comment about the ending. So the ending of the book, you will see a page with newspaper illustration that shows an anti-Trump headline. I don't support Trump and I get the co-relation between the story and Trump. However, it feels so sudden and out of place? I would prefer the author add a separate note about it at the very end rather than include it in the story.
