Who Do, Voodoo is a cozy mystery about a psychologist who gets herself involved in a voodoo-related murder when her best friend is accused of killing her boss' girlfriend. Liz is a skeptic, but the story continually challenges her beliefs and doesn't seek to portray magical beliefs as ridicuous. Sure, the prose is pretty sparse and the characters could use a bit more development, but I ate this book up while on vacation. I particularly enjoyed the fact that Staab actually did some research on the magic she was using as a plot point.
