Two sides of a story 

I didn't know what to expect with this book but I had to complete the series. 

Did I think Luke deserved love? 

In the beginning I was not convinced. I also thought the book had a major typo ... but accept it and read on. 

In the end I loved Luke and London. I'm glad that they both dared to love again. The authors have a way of describing the indescribable way of when two people fit and you envy that connection. 

Bonus at the end, a Not Joe short love story at the end. He's more than what he appears.

I just adore Christina Lauren's writing. I love NA/Romance books that make me giggle out loud. Wicked Sexy Liar is a fun little beachy romp that rounded out the Series nicely, which was needed after Dark Wild Night. 


I really loved Luke and London. I felt slightly disconnected from London, I don't feel like I truly knew who London was. Her character could've been a little more fully realized. But I did love her and Luke together. Luke, I loved Luke, he may have been one of my favorite guys from this entire series. 

The only thing that really struck me sometimes was that the conflict felt a little forced. After, reading so many NA books the conflicts tend to get stale and/or annoying. This one was borderline annoying with the whole "player" vibe. 

Wicked Sexy Liar was a great little wrap up of the Wild Seasons series.

I just have to say that Christina Lauren have outdone their self again by creating another best-selller romance book, Wicked Sexy Liar. Wicked Sexy Liar is another fantastic romance book in Wild Season series. Wicked Sexy Liar is a sexy romance read that all of the reader will fall in love it that they will want their on Luke in their life.
Luke is a sexy man that he has no trouble attracting female but one certain female does not fall for his charm which would be the cute surfer, Landon. Luke has always been known to be a heart-breaker or player around his circles that it surprise him when a beautiful women does not want to be with him, Landon. Landon is a talented surfer that she always all of the in or out about players. Luke is totally out of his element when Landon spot his flirty ways that it makes Luke feel something different than he is expected. 
I definitely love how Luke is out of his element that it will make him realize that he need to step out of his comfort zone and make some risks which would be Landon. Landon is a wonderful women that she has no problem telling her honest opinion especially to Luke. Those honest qualities makes Luke want her even more. They definitely start off as fling but they more they spend time with each other and the more they realize the amazing chemistry that they have with each other.
I definitely love those two that I definitely root for them to make it work. They both have past that they need to face in order to make their relationship work. It is definitely common to have a past but it is your choice to make a decision to clarity your present which is Luke is doing for Landon.

I love this story! London is my favorite character in this series. She has her head on straight, plays no games, and is perfectly honest about her wants and fears. Her only self-doubts revolve around her fear of launching into a "real career." I found the romance the least drama-filled of the entire series, and super sweet.

My only issue with these books is I binge them in a day, and want more RIGHT NOW. More please.

Luke had spent most of his life with Mia until her accident, which changed everything. Now Mia is married to someone else, and Luke sleeps with just about every woman he can. He meets London at a favorite bar where she works and during their one-night-stand, Luke calls her Logan for the entire night. After their one night together, they continue to run into one another, but even though they still feel the attraction, they both agree that it was best for them to just be friendly, especially since London is dealing with severe trust issues as well as being being a friend to Mia and Luke isn't ready to settle down with just one woman. Things begin to change when Luke realizes that he wants to be with London for more than sex. Will they be able to overcome their pasts in order to find something more permanent?

Wicked Sexy Liar is a really poor title for this book as lies do not describe the central problem of the plot. Luke and London are extremely likable characters that we get to know as they get to know each other. Their reservations about starting a serious relationship are realistic and fairly common in today's world. The conflicts in the story are enjoyable but a bit tame, and the characters' voices are very similar, but overall, Wicked Sexy Liar is a light, fun read. 3 1/2 stars. I would love to read "Not-Joe's" story, but it wasn't available in the edition of this book that I read.

Confession: I've been putting off reviewing Wicked Sexy Liar because I just don't know what to say about it. Also, once I review it, it means the series really is over and I'm just not ready to let it go. I don't think I ever will be. I originally read this one back at the beginning of December, immediately after I got my review copy. I went so far as to reread it the day before release because I needed another taste of Luke and London.

I fell in love with Wicked Sexy Liar the minute I picked it up. I connected immediately with London. I totally got her. (In fact, I might've related to her TOO MUCH, which did cause me some issues later in the book... but more on that later.) Though the reformed manwhore is something I'm a little tired of, when it's done really well (mostly) like it was with Luke, I remember why I loved it in the first place. There's something just kinda fun about watching a player tripping all over himself after realizing he has REAL feelings for a girl. I love the vulnerability that comes with it. And I love when the heroine makes the hero work to redeem himself. 

I absolutely adored London and Luke from the very start and through to the last page. (Minus one little part.) I especially loved that we spend time inside both character's heads because I'm not sure I would've loved Luke as much if I hadn't seen his true self. I loved their chemistry and the banter. They were so perfectly matched. I know London was resistant because of the player vibes he was putting off and, you know, her own recent past experiences, but I don't know how she resisted him. Player or not, he really was a great guy with a good heart. His inner dialogue, and even his conversations with his sister and London (when he was being truly OPEN), made me melt. I loved that he was finding himself again and falling for someone for the first time since things ended with Mia. It made my heart happy watching these two get to know each other and fall for each other. 

There was only one part that didn't work for me, and honestly damn near broke my heart. Bear with me, I'm gonna get spoilery right here. (view spoiler)[There's this one scene that takes place after Luke and London slept together and have been hanging out as friends that made me so angry. He's admitted he cares about her. She hurts his feelings and he goes out to a bar and promptly hooks up with and goes home with a random (and pretty trashy) woman. That was bad enough. Worse? They have sex. Even worse? During sex, she says something that makes him he realize HE HAS SLEPT WITH HER BEFORE AND FORGOT HER. I was equal parts sad and disgusted... and even a little hurt by it all. Now in Luke's defense, he and London were NOT together. He didn't cheat on her. She'd been telling him she couldn't have anything more with him because she knew his type and didn't trust him. They could be friends, but no more. Still? This is EXACTLY why she doesn't trust him and he keeps saying he wants to be a different person? But what does he do? Reverts back to old behaviors that are, quite frankly, pretty gross. It tells me a lot about the guy you are/were when you literally can't remember someone who your penis has been inside. Ugh. It was disappointing and, if I'm honest, the first time I read the book, it almost made me give it up. (You know when you bring your own past into a book and it can cause problems? Yeah, this was one of those times.)  (hide spoiler)] What I will say is that this event, while awful to me, was truly the catalyst for some real change in Luke. He was as disgusted with himself as I was. It was a wake-up call that led him to reevaluate his life and what he wants (and who he had become) and made him realize it was time to make changes. That's what kept me going with the book. The second time I read the book, this part still made me sad, but I was able to bounce back a little sooner. I don't know if it was my mood or because I knew what was coming and that the pain was worth it in the end or what. 

When I say Wicked Sexy Liar made me feel all the feels, I'm not exaggerating. I went through all the emotions. Both times I read it. It was funny, sexy and sweet. There were parts where I felt like my heart had been ripped out of my chest and shattered on the ground, but it was always put back together. I was in it DEEP with Luke and London. Watching them overcoming their pasts to find something real together? Perfection. Having it all happen with my favorite characters from earlier in the series playing important roles? Even better. 

My love for the Wild Seasons series knows no bounds. I know it's one that I'll continue to reread for a long time to come. These characters! The friendships and bromances! The sweet and sexy AF romance! It's easily one of my favorite new adult series and I really can't recommend it highly enough. I'm so sad to see it end though. I'll never get enough of these characters and their stories. Hence all the planned rereads. :)

We finally get the fourth and final installment in the Wild Seasons series, which is Luke and London’s book! As bittersweet as I am to see this series end, Christina Lauren couldn’t have ended it with a more perfect book. I loved Wicked Sexy Liar. LOVED it!! I honestly couldn’t stop smiling the whole way through. Luke and London’s story was an absolute joy and pure fun to read. Once again, Christina Lauren has stunned me with another brilliant, intelligent, refreshing read – this time, about a girl and her friend’s… ex.

Following me with his eyes, he asks, “So is this no-dating-guys-you-meet-at-work thing, like, an actual rule?”
“Sort of.” I fold the bar towel and tuck it into the back of my apron, meeting his eyes.
“What if I promised I was absolutely worth it?”

We don’t know much about Luke or London in the previous books, and to be honest, I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about them going into this book. But right from the get-go, I fell so hard for these two. They instantly captivated me with their honesty, depth, and realness. Christina Lauren has a magical talent at writing characters who feel so genuinely real to me – there are so many hidden layers to each and every one of their characters, and as you unravel each one, you can’t help but grow to love that character.

Luke was the one I expected to have trouble with, but there’s something so lovely and good about him that I couldn’t help but love him. He may be a manwhore, but Luke is also so much more. He’s genuinely a good guy, but he’s buried away his hurt from his ex-girlfriend to give off this easy-going vibe that no one sees through until he meets London. London’s also got a messy romantic past, so to say these two are wary of relationships is an understatement. But slowly, through a budding friendship and a deep sexual connection, the both of them chip away at the walls around their hearts until they find themselves completely immersed in one another.

Luke is managing to break down my walls one smile at a time. Being with him feels a little like letting go of the handlebars and racing down a hill. And it also feels like being wrapped up in the warmest blanket.
How can he feel both like an adventure and a comfort?

The slow burn in Wicked Sexy Liar is absolutely wonderful and the perfect pace for Luke and London. I was expecting the romance to include some crazy drama and angst, since Luke is London’s friend’s ex, but honestly, everything about this book was FUN. It’s flirty, sexy (so freaking sexy), sweet, funny, original, and just all around a feel-good read. I read this book in one day, that’s how totally INTO this book I was. And what I loved most about the romance was how much effort it took for Luke to win London’s trust, and eventually, her heart. Ahh, Luke just makes me SWOON!

There are so many ways to love this girl; good God, let me find each and every one of them.

This newest book of Christina Lauren’s only reaffirms how brilliant these two writers are and how they’ll forever be my go-to authors for some incredible contemporary romances. Luke and London’s romance blew me away and is definitely one of my top favorites from this author duo. I can’t recommend this book – and author – enough. Everyone who loves romance just needs to read this book and experience how wonderful Luke and London are!
