This books was so good! I loved the simple Wild in 2019 and it made it to my top 5 of 2019. After reading Wild at Heart I definitely have to say it’s another favorite. I really enjoyed getting to see more of Calla and Jonah become a couple and learn how to be together. They definitely had struggles and had to learn to communicate but I loved that about this story. It’s was really realistic and had a very real scenarios that would happen in their situation. It was also great seeing old characters, new characters, and exploring more of Alaska! 5/5 stars!

Because I feel like I have no other words.

After the first book ends, we know that Calla is making her way to Alaska to start a life with Jonah.

Calla and Jonah find themselves in a small town full of new friends and fun characters. Muriel is adamant on helping Calla find her way as a pioneer woman of Alaska, her son Toby, the only real friend Callas made and also a great plane mechanic, Marie, the vet we all hate for loving a man that we also love that is NOT hers, and my favorite of all, Roy... the crotchety old neighbor next door who at first seemed to be more trouble than he was worth.

Jonah and Calla navigate a relationship between two stubborn people who hold on so tightly that using their words doesn’t always seem to come as easy.
Let’s be honest, would words come easy for you staring at a 6’4, blue eyed, blonde-haired burly hunk of a dude?
Ya me either. Mush brain. And hormones.

But I did find Calla to be a little overwhelming for awhile. I understood her struggle but I so badly just wanted her to communicate and quit blaming everything on “he loves flying more than me.”

Even then, this book was nothing short of 5/5. In fact I feel like refusing to read anything else and just going back to my quarantined hole with the new love of my life, Jonah.



Sigh. Good luck to the next book I read. And if there isn’t a 3rd book K.A Tucker, I will cry. a lot. And that should weigh heavily on your conscience.

I love Calla and Jonah’s story. Many times throughout the book the feelings Calla was experiencing in their relationship were feelings I’ve experienced in my own. Some parts made me uncomfortable in a good way because of how spot on Calla’s feelings were to my own.

           This was such a delightful continuation of Calla and Jonah’s story. What I appreciated the most was that Wild at Heart shows both the hardships but also beautiful moments of a relationship.
