I originally picked up this book as I am a subscriber to Louise Pentland's YouTube channel and I was not disappointed! 

The character of Robin Wilde was relatable and I found myself laughing along as the story progressed which isn't something that happens often for me! This was my favourite book in this series and I read it in just over a day. It was a great introduction to these characters and left me wanting more. I loved how ' real' Robin was in how her life was going and I was rooting for her and the other characters.

I have read a few different books written by YouTubers and I can say this was by far the best. I loved Louise's writing style. As I mainly read this genre of writing, I found it very enjoyable and would definitely recommend this book and the series as a whole! It is a feel good story which can get you out of a reading slump and feeling good!

I actually didn't like it at all. Dropped half way in and just read the last chapter to see how the story ends. Felt boring even though the story line was ok.

3.5/5. I was very excited to read this, as I've been a fan of Louise's for ages. The book felt more like I was watching one of her vids than reading an original story, but it was lovely anyway. The only thing that bothered me was the pace; Louise has commented on that, and said that the sequel is much more fast-paced, so I'm excited to try it!

I really enjoyed Louise Pentland's Wilde books as I read them in quick succession this week. Robin Wilde is a fantastic and relatable character and Pentland's writing is easy to read. It was a fun summer read, easy to get sucked into and hard to leave behind.

I'm on and off with my star rating for this, but it's somewhere in the range of 3.75-4.25, so 4 is a good compromise! 
I loved reading this and hearing Louise's humour in there. Those were my favourite bits. The voice of Robin reminded me slightly of Bridget Jones, or an older Georgia Nicholson (from Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging). 
I really enjoyed the characters, particularly Kath and the school mums! But don't even get me started on Theo. There were parts where I found it fairly easy to put down, but I did always pick it up again!
Overall, a good read, and I'm excited to see what happens in Robin's future!

Oh god this book was... Not good at all. I was rather excited to read this since someone suggested it based on my love of Jenny Colgan and where I can see why they would have suggested it, this author is so far away from Jenny Colgan's, or any author I know of for that matter, ability to construct a beautiful complex story. I was very much in the mood for a contemporary fun and funny book and this sounded like it would fit the bill, however in the grand scheme of things Robin Wilde felt like a self absorbed privileged girl who thinks roughing it is having no man to elevate her self esteem. This book was talking about the Emptiness that a lot of woman, whether mother or not, can feel. I think it's such a relatable concept, but Robin uses the emptiness as an excuse to not feel empathy with those around her that are struggling JUST as much as she is. She has no sense of gratitude for what she has till she gets a man half way into the book and guess what from the first introduction of Theo it was blatantly obvious where they plot line was going. There was very little character development, no atmosphere, and the narrative was almost all internal. There was almost nothing redeeming about this book except for she kind of grows a spine at the end. I am very frustrated with this book. It was not good at all.

‘Wilde Like Me’ by Louise Pentland is a realistic tale of a year in the life of a single mum. This book is soothing to read, as in a lot of areas I felt the same as the main character, Robin Wilde. Robin continuously doubts herself, but through the course of the book realises that she is managing her life and parenting her daughter, Lyla, as well as anybody else. This is a good book if you want to realise all the good things in your own life, just like Robin.

I really wanted to enjoy this book, but it really was a disappointment.
Exploring the world of single mums, I would relate to this book more if I were a mum. I was not too fond of the constant self-pitying and really felt a misplaced need for being in a relationship. Ladies, we don't need a man to be fulfilled. There were moments I felt that Robin was quite selfish, and the overall lack of communication seemed to be a big problem in her life. 
Don't get me wrong; it's not a bad book. I honestly wanted the best for Robin and hoped that everything would work out for her. I want to read the next books, but honestly, I'm just not in the right place in my life to read mum/parenting books. One day I will read the rest of the series - one day.
