Wildfire A Hidden Legacy Novel
Reviews

such a good series, just such a comfort read. it’s like a fantastic insane tv show. and connor rogan is like top tier book boyfriend… upper echelon level.

Wildfire is the conclusion to what I hope is the first arc in the Hidden Legacy series. It is wildly entertaining and there are not enough words to describe how good it is. If you've never read any Ilona Andrews, I will ask you to look behind the horrible covers and the fact that is advertised as a romance because there's so much behind this stories than just that! That's the awesomeness of it, Ilona Andrews have managed to create a very intriguing world with a great magic system and very entertaining characters. In short, this book did not disappoint, it was everything I wanted and expected from this awesome author duo and I refuse to believe there won't be any more books in this series.

This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance Wildfire is the thrilling, on the edge of your seat thrills and chills as Connor "Mad Rogan" and Nevada try to come out on top for the danger that threatens them from an enemy they won't see coming. What an explosive installment in this series and boy I was just overcome in so many ways in this story. Nevada and Connor just grow so much in this story and we see their relationship deal with some unique dynamics that they have never dealt with previously. Nevada knows that with her grandmother searching for her and her siblings, that they are in grave danger and each day she never knows if it will be the day that her grandmother will find them. But there is one way, is to claim themselves as a "House" which will protect them for three years and allow them to gain strength and build their protection. But when Nevada is called in to solve a case of Connor's ex girlfriend, whose husband has been kidnapped, it will prove to challenge Nevada with another woman threatening what she has with Connor. But Nevada is a woman who is a fighter especially when it comes to the man she loves. We see some interesting complexities that rise in the story. Now the obvious strength of the story is the plot line dealing with the kidnapping and getting approved to be a house for Nevada's family. The only downside to this story, and yes there was one small downside. The romance between Nevada and Connor took a back seat, and it felt less than normal with Ilona Andrews and I would have liked to see Connor and Nevada together more in this book especially with their relationship becoming more cemented than in previous books. What I was impressed by was the truly development of the story line. This story was so 'on the edge of your seat' exciting. I never knew what would happen and there were some shocks that I didn't see coming but I was so impressed with Nevada. Connor doesn't want to make the situation worse for Nevada and is willing to put their relationship on hold or not announce it but Nevada is NOT subtle and not ashamed of what she has with Connor and I love how she is always showing what he means to her. Overall Wildfire is a story of danger, intrigue, of unsuspecting villains and the true strength that Connor and Nevada have together....POWERFULLY PROVOKING! [foogallery id="19195"]

There aren't words. Like no words. At all. This series! There needs to be more. I will never be over Nevada and Rogan and I want more of them. Like all the stories. I don't care how small. And the entire Baylor clan need their stories told. I will try and write a full review soon but right now I am just looking words for this one.

Again, I absolutely adored this series and cannot believe it took me so long to start it. This isn't a review, this is a general SQUEEEEEEEE, so stop here if you haven't read. Still with me?! Connor and Nevada. My gosh. I loved every minute of watching these two fall in love. Also, the trope with the "ex-fiancee" is one I usually detest, but I loved how the author handled it, using it to show how much Nevada and Rogan trusted each other and talked to one another. And especially for Nevada giving Rogan the business. Also, please and thank you to helicoptering me away to a mountain escape. That can happen anytime. SERGEANT TEDDY OMG. 2021 : The audiobook experience was so great, and I just love this cast of characters so much. Grandma Frida is such a star. I loved the exploration of all of the different types of magic and magic users. Cornelius is a babe, I hope he finds someone to help with Matilda someday, and I cannot wait to see what shapes up for Catalina. Rogan and Neveda, still my favorites. When he proposed?! Damn.

The third novel in the Hidden Legacy series, Wildfire picks up right after the epilogue in White Hot, so on Christmas day Rogan and Nevada are back in Houston because Nevada’s grandmother (the bad one) tried to buy her mortgage. Also, the ex-fiance that was met in the last book, her husband has been kidnapped and no one will help her. This is the same ex-fiance whose mother was killed in the last novel. And we now have the animal mage as a full time employee. This novel is just as wonderful, with the bonus of a full on war scene, as the last two novels, and again is very consistent. We finally really get to see both of the younger sister’s powers (they are amazing), and have so much action, and I’m annoyed at Rogan for leaving Nevada alone when he said he wouldn’t be leaving her side ever again. Here is what I don’t like, SPOILER WARNING, I really hate the fact that this is the last book in the main book timeline (honestly, I read the next book in the series but won’t be doing a review on it). We never find out who Ceasar is. But I like that they are together. I like the ending of this trilogy. I would love to see more one-offs with them, particularly how Rogan handles much smaller threats, and to see if maybe Nevada can disappear into the background again and just run her business. If you enjoyed the last two, let’s be real, you are going to read this and you are going to enjoy it. So, just enjoy it.

In catching up on mini reviews, I realized that I didn't leave a review for this! Ack! Although if you follow my reviews at all, you already knew this was going to be a 5-star read. Everything Ilona Andrews writes is excellent. Mad Rogan is one of my all time favorite characters, but ever since he's become more human overall he's transcended into a character that I can't get enough of. Nevada is fabulous, all of her siblings are fabulous, and this third book is full of all the same banter and snark that I love. There's not a lot to say, except that I love these books. In my eyes, Andrews can do no wrong. I'll just keep devouring everything they put out.

I don't even know how to describe how much I love and am obsessed with this series. Ilona Andrews never disappoints, and the Hidden Legacy series has blown. me. away. I didn't know I could love this series more, but after reading Wildfire, IA proved me wrong. I'm PRAYING this isn't the end of the series, because there is SO much more I want to see! I honestly can't get enough of Nevada, Rogan, and the gang! Full review to come! Thanks to the publisher for generously providing me an ARC to review.
