As of 2001, Richards returned with Roland Griffiths at Johns Hopkins to begin studies in psychedelics again. This book traverses the historical, psychological, religious/spiritual, and social landscapes of psychedelics and gives a broad brush understanding of the profound and enlightening experiences people have when they partake in this substances. An excellent introduction by an excellent man.

This book definitely presented some new information to me. I do get that it is a nonfiction textbook but to me this book was extremely heavy to read. 
I learned new things, I don’t really know if they are usable to me but at least I know something new now.
