Willing Victim by Cara McKenna is MEGA HOT. Insanely hot. I'm not normally into that sort of romance, but my goodness. 

My full review will be in A Love Thing anthology, but I wanted to leave a small review and rating for this book as well. Because, OMG it was mega hot and incredible. I 100% need to read more by Cara McKenna and now I want to read this series.

This book is full of boxing, rough romance and intense scenes. Cara has written some really hot scenes in this book that make it rated R for sure! While the book is rough, I think the story is incredibly addicting. She makes you love these characters and feel breathless at every turn. The book is not meant to be turned into an Oscar-winning film, but man does it hit all the notes for an extremely erotic romance.

It's Fifty Shades of Grey on steroids, but with better writing skills and styles entwined. If you like risque reads, then this book is 100% for you! I really grew to enjoy it and I want to read more by Cara ASAP.

Best money I spent on an Erotic Novel. Willing Victim is not a novella with insta-love, sweet endearments and nonsense fillers. It is up front to the point, a little funny at times and a interesting read. I loved every minute of it. Cara McKenna has her own unique writing voice, master story teller and fun loving characters that leap off the pages with reality. Willing Victim is a keeper for me.

Cara McKenna definitely has opened open up my eyes to the whole "Role Playing". Feeling a little kinky and dirty for saying I enjoyed those sexy moments. Now it did help that it was the sexy tattoo-underground boxer-dirty talker-Alpha male hero Flynn doing the role playing. Did I say he was a sexy dirty talker.

"He moaned above her. "Yeah... Fuck, I've been thinking about this all week, making you touch my dick. Get it out, girl."

Loved that Laurel was not shy in the bedroom department. It was not like bang she is ready to jump into the whole role playing ASAP either. She was interested but still not sure. What made Willing Victim perfect was the set up to get her into role playing. I have read many novels where the male will watch another male and female get it on but I have never read a novel where the heroine watches a male and female get it on. Oh I needed a steamy shower after that. Loved it even more was Flynn's actions while with another female. Right then and there it was not something he said but more so what he did. It amazes me how already I was falling love with Flynn and they did not even really know each other long. Cara has a way of writing where it is not always endearing words that caught me swooning over the hero but his actions say it all. 

For an erotic novel it was not just sex after sex scenes. No Cara had a nice mixture of romance and even some yummy detailed boxing scenes. It was a nice break from those yummy scorching-panty-changing scenes. Gradually through the novel readers get to experience their romance bloom. Loved that they start off as friends while she is exploring "Role Playing". Not only do readers get to see their romance bloom, readers get to see their friendship build too. They are playful and loved that Flynn was a joking-laid back everyday guy that wants to have a relationship. He enjoys role playing but he is not a damage hero that has to have it. Do not let the "Role Playing" sway you from reading Willing Victim. If you love a well written Erotic Romance with a wickedly delicious couple then Willing Victim is a novel not to be missed. Look forward to checking out more of Cara McKenna Erotic novels.

quite possibly one of the best romance books i've read. well done plot, well done characters, realistic development. everything about this was 10/10. my only complaint is that it wasn't longer, but i think that would've taken away from the perfectness of this book. it starts so succinctly and escalates exactly how i would want it to, from laurel's shyness to flynn's bluntness. these characters have personalities and you can see how they grow and love. definitely pay attention to CW before reading!

I really enjoyed my first Cara McKenna (by this pen name). Really great exploration of consensual non-consent, boundaries, and voyeurism. I really loved Flynn's character, the way he could verbalize his needs and desires and how he made sure he was taking care of his partners. I wanted a bit more about Laurel, her struggle with depression, and her life outside of her growing relationship with Flynn. 

The arc structure was a bit usual too, in the sense there was never a big break moment. There was a little misunderstanding and then boom, HEA. I was cool with that.
