So here’s what I have concluded after finishing this book. When I read this first one I did really like it but I think that was because I was a completely different reader than I am now. Because while this wasn’t bad it didn’t give me the same feels that the first one did. I do think this should have been 100 pages than it was because it really drew itself out for no good reason. I know it tried to add some angst to the plot but it wasn’t coming off right. I’ve even decided to at some point reread the first book to see if I still like that one as much. But that’s for a later date.
I loved it such a lovely little read (it also has a lot of steam, which helps) However I loved the non mid book predictability they moved it to the last 4 chapters instead. Great read to get you back into the swing. But also a great read for us who use palate cleansers as our main read.
