I had no knowledge about the book before I dived in, I just knew that it had a really pretty cover that I liked, so why not take a chance with fate, or now I would say Skuld. This story starts with a really detailed description of a family in a small city in a big fjord. Our main character's, Liv's brother has a terrible nightmare just before a big ceremony, it doesn't cause that much problems, just a lot of bad thought so far. But as time goes on the author makes me cry before I even reach the hundreth page, why would she doooo this to me? I really liked the story, it was always full of action with some really tense fighting scenes, that I absolutely loved, but it still put a really interesting character development, we could see a girl becoming her better self, when she finds a reason to live. Also, I really love norse mythology characters and we could see several one of them greatly represented throughout the whole story. Odin, Skuld, Thor and I could go on and on. I recommend this book if you are ready to shred tears, and follow the path of a badass girls adventures while she fights for her family.

Casey Bond never seizes to amaze me. Her writing is flawless at every turn, creating these Characters that grip your soul and drag you into their world. From the very beginning of this book she has you in tears, you’re in agony along side the MC in a way that shouldn’t be possible with so little time spend with her. It’s just a masterpiece.
