Rennison's new series is a spin off of her outrageously funny Georgia Nicholson series. Tallulah Casey is Georgia's younger cousin and is spending the summer at a theatre camp in Yorkshire to avoid going on a family camping trip. Yorkshire is in rural England and is very different from city life Tallulah is used to living. Tallulah is quirky and funny but this series is a distant second place to Rennison's other series. A good quick read, but make sure you read the glossary of Tallulah's slang at the back before tackling the book.

I think I laughed more with Tallulah than I did with Georgia! The perfect pick-me-up book to read during a not-so-great time in my life. I laughed, I Irish danced, and I can't wait for the next one to come out!

Hmmm, I don't know what to make of this book. I love Louise Rennison, she's really a fantastic author, but I think this book fell flat for me. It was funny, sure, but I dunno, it just didn't live up to my expectations. I couldn't keep track of all the characters and it wasn't as entertaining as "Angus, thongs and full-frontal snogging", for example. It was fun to read but I most likely won't be reading the sequel.
