Bulky Schiff Bases and Their Metal Complexes

Bulky Schiff Bases and Their Metal Complexes From Amantadine Or Rimantadine (I)

In this book, we first introduced the synthesis and characterization of bulky Schiff bases and reductive bulky Schiff bases starting from amantadine/rimantadine and salicylaldehyde/substituted salicylaldehyde. Then using these bulky Schiff bases as ligands, we obtained successfully their complexes with several metals (In, Zn, Co). The complexes structures were characterized by the means of IR, 1H NMR, elemental analysis and molar conductance. The absolute structures were determined by a single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.
