It takes me around 20 days to finish this book, and by that, I'm not saying that this book isn't good. It is good, with its plus and minuses, as always.

I'm gonna confess to you that at first it seems like I picked a wrong book. I was looking for tips, a how-to guide book revolving around how to manage your wealth and income in a practical way. And this book...well it's kinda cheesy at first. Some usual motivation, like a green fields and all rainbows waiting for you to come.

However, it's actually about practicing the mindset of wealth before you really dig in to some. And boy, that's so important. It helps you set your focus, and asking your mind: "Why do you want the wealth? Why do you want all the money?" Then it helps you to learn that the Universe actually has it all. In all its abundance, it want to reach you out. It's you who needs to revolve and change. Simply by not giving up way too easily, not to give in to fears, to throw it all you can, with all your heart and strength, and not to excuse on anything or anyone.

But as easy as it seems, it's kinda hard actually. Real life hits us hard but hey, that's why we, somehow, need this kind of book. Use it just for our reminder.

And that's the point of this book. It's a self-help book, treat it like one. Note what's best for you and scrap what looked far too optimistic and cheesy.

« You are a badass » is WAY better, but it is still good especially if you have a bad relationship with money. Good insights on how to change your thoughts about money, but a bit too repetitive. Still love the raw writing of Jen Sincero though!

i don't want to get very specific, like commenting on paying for a coach (that you probably can't afford) or borrowing from a very wealthy friend (what are the odds to have one of those anyway?), but i think that most of the book wasn't really applicable.

i do believe that everything in our life starts with our mindset and i do find those moments well-written, but i didn't read anything i didn't already know.

I thought that this book had a lot of helpful insight around money and the sections around shame and embarrassment re. talking about it/asking for it really resonated with me. However, throughout reading I found it feeling repetitive and it lost me. Overall, a good book to challenge your thinking but otherwise not one I would recommend.

If you are into new age and understand what she is saying, this is a great book. I knew it would mention Universe related topics that I already knew about but I like to read books like this because it reminds me of what I already know but get “caught up in life” forgetting if not exposed to it in on daily basis.

So much of this book just seemed tone deaf to me. She starts by saying how she used to be broke and living without.... But then later speaks about going to Italy with her family as a child and spending summers as a young adult in Naples. Then mentions that what was holding her back from making money was that her dad would think she didn't need him, since he was always giving her money. Ummmm.... That doesn't sound like she was ever broke and living without. 

A large portion of North Americans can't even afford to take a long weekend, let alone vacations to Europe and handing out money to their children. When these sorts of opportunities don't exist, it is a lot harder to take those financial risks Sincero says to take. The ramifications of failure could be utterly devastating if you don't have a "bank of mommy and daddy" to help you out. 

And don't get me started on her advice to manifest the money you need and to not be afraid to ask for it (her example was borrowing 85 THOUSAND DOLLARS from a friend that just HAPPENED TO HAVE IT - really?!)

I also really disliked how she continually touted that you have to pay to have a coach or mentor when she, in fact, is selling that service. It sounds like the whole book was a sales pitch. It just wasn't my taste. There were definitely takeaways for motivation and habits in general that I was able to get from this book, but her new age approach to making money was just not it for me.

I'm a big Jen Sincero fan. This book was very informative as is her norm. Some of it I found to be very helpful, like the parts about believing in yourself and in your dreams no matter your current circumstances. 

Some parts, I would take with a grain of salt. I understand the ambition to go after your dreams; however, I do think it's important to not just up and quit your job, because we all need a source of income. Jen definitely reiterates that in the end, but there were a few instances in the book when I felt like she was saying to throw caution to the wind and chase your dreams, which may not be that easily executed for those of us with bills to pay. 

I did really enjoy the book and definitely recommend it, I Just think not every piece of advice she gave is as applicable to most people, which is a bit different than how I feel about her other books.

I would recommend this book to ANYONE! I listened to it as an audiobook and where as I felt like it was a little monotone especially with some of the “hip” language I got over that pretty quickly. I wasn’t sure at first but it was so fascinating and had the best journaling prompts. I’m a bit mind blown 🤯🤯🤯🤯 I can’t wait to read her other books!

As the title would suggest, this isn't a finance book so much as a mindset/inspirational book. Based on that knowledge, I believe that Sincero did a good job in crafting this book. It's inspirational in many ways. She is real. She is raw. She is authentic. All of that is why I adore her and greatly enjoyed her first book. 

Let me say that sometimes you read a book at the wrong time and I believe that I read this at the wrong time. I am in a place in my financial journey where I need more "meat" and less "woo-woo" in the books involving finance. I knew that this wasn't a finance book going it, but I realized after I finished that the reason I didn't love it as much as I loved her prior book was because of the timing.
