I wish I could give this book more stars because I've always liked P. Dangelico's works. And for the most part, I enjoyed reading this one. Until that climax of a conflict at the end, and it ruined it for me. No, it wasn't so much about what the conflict is; it is a logical one, and I'd seen it coming. It was the way the author chose to resolve the conflict. I get that this is romance, and it needs a HEA, and yes the author gives us a HEA, but unfortunately it's just not that satisfying to me. 

I mean...I shed tears reading that part of the story for Sydney. I hurt for her. She'd been subject to a horrendous childhood. Scott knows all about it, and yet, faced with one stumbling block in their relationship, and that was how he treated her? I get he's hurting, and he has all the reasons to be, but for someone who supposedly loves her deeply, he couldn't even give her the benefit of the doubts and ended up hurting her even more. I just wish the author would have made him suffer more before letting Sydney forgive him. 

That said, I still like the book. Perhaps, I'm a sadist, but yeah, I would have given the book more stars had Scott suffered more before the HEA.

Yep, all in all, I would say this book is why I enjoy fake dating and marriage on convenience storylines so damn much. Missed opportunity on the only one bed trope considering the small space they were sharing, but you can't have it all. Besides Two lovable big dogs (Romeo and Juliet) being bed hogs was very cute so I can let it go for them. Scott and Sydney had great chemistry and later on some beautiful emotional depth too. The way she opened up to him about her abusive past and shattered all his misconceptions. Likewise, he opened up about things that made him leave the city and start his ranch. There's all the hidden emotions, the fun of watching two people who loathe each other start to fall for each other and then actually seeing all that turn into a real relationship.

 The start was a lot of fun I had a few laugh out loud moments at these two idiots expense because they were good at exchanging barbs. I loved how neither wanted to be married but on Sydney's side, you have her determination to see it through, and on Scott's his equal amount to try to send her packing as soon as possible. Easy read, I was looking for something that I could get into right away when I couldn't fall asleep last night and this pulled me from the start. Does it add anything new to this type of book? No, not really but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable. Overall, I think if you're looking for a marriage of convenience book and enjoy all the things listed above I would recommend checking this one out! My first P. Dangelico book but now I eagerly want to read more<33

Enemy to Lover Romance. Second Chance Romance. I’ve read a lot of reviews on this book. Good review. Everyone is giving this book a good reviews—4 to 5 stars rating and I figure I have to read this. I need to read this. I never heard the Author, this is my first time reading her work and I have to admit it was a good one. Nope—It was spectacular! 💜 

I love the male characters in this story. I was impressed that the Hero was not interested to be the CEO like every other books we’ve usually read. It really warm my heart that the author made her hero slightly different from others. Although not so different from the ego and alpha but it really give us a breath of a fresh air. 

THE HEROIN—the independent woman with career, strong headed, beautifully amazing and knows what she wants. Her loyalty to Frank is really something I admire I mean she knows it will blow up in her face one day but she also made a promise to Frank. It doesn’t matter how much she loves Scott but her loyalty to his father what matters and she knows it was not her place to tell him. And I understand when she refused to tell Her husband. 

I literally cry my fucking heart out when she give up on him. I was heartbroken and my heart is cracking when she hand over her divorce papers to him. I’m gonna read this book again! 🥰💜

tried. I really tried to read this shit but I couldn’t handle it any longer and I just skimmed through all of it. 

The beginning was promising and I was quite enjoying it but I couldn’t tolerate Scott at all. He treated Sydney like shit. He made her believe that the two bedroom house with a pull out couch as a bed, no hot water and a broken heating system was his house while he sneaked out and comfortably lived in his ACTUAL house (which was way better, to put it mildly) ??Just for what, because he was bitter about the arranged marriage which in no way was even her idea. If anyone should be blamed it should be his dad. And for one second did he not think that the arrangement was costing her as well ? He got to live in the same place with the same people but she was the one who had to continuously fly back and forth.
Then they start having feelings for each other and whatever but the MINUTE he found out that she hid something from him (that she had to hide because of the promise she had made to his dad), he proceeded to fire her from a job that was rightfully hers, WITHOUT blinking and then filed for a divorce. He was so shitty throughout this book. And the only thing he clearly wanted was to get in her pants. 
I hated this book a lot.
