Good fun but written a bit like I would have at 16... a few things that are completely improbable / unrealistic but otherwise fast paced and fun to read!

Wow, what a fun ride!! I didn’t expect to enjoy this one as much as I did!

I am a devout lover of all things undercover, like books with fugitives, assassins, spies, or anyone working - well - undercover. I picked this one up from my school library because I am always in need for a good YA spy novel (if you have any recs, comment haha), and I was not disappointed; soon into the summer, I got SO in the mood for a spy novel. I started reading, and needless to say, I was SWEPT off my feet!

Of course there’s the whole “undercover” thing… let me explain. There’s something so intense and dramatic about the secrecy of the characters trying to hide their true identities. You know, like Spiderman, or Nova and Adrian from Renegades. I just love it!!!

There was also something else that drew me in: the romance. I wasn’t expecting it to be such an important aspect of the story, but that’s not to say I didn’t like it. Liam is one of new book boyfriends, for sure!! Their relationship is so adorable and natural… you know I’m all for a friends-to-lovers ;)

And I can't forget the undertones of self-discovery! The novel focuses on Reagan's journey of learning to let people in and of her deciding where she wants to go in life, not where her parents want her to go, and I have a feeling that will continue as the series does.

All in all, this is a fun, quick read for any spy lover like me, if you like some romance mixed in haha. Definitely recommend this one! Oh, and there’s major craziness at the end, so I also NEED the second one!!
