Cannot praise this book enough! Daniel Howell created a mental health guide that didn't make me want to self diagnose myself even further it instead made me feel like someone was trying to help me out of my depressive, anxious hole and comfort me. I've since used this book in assessments for university in mental health studies and I recommend it to everyone. The advice is solid, useful, and simple enough for me to remember in the midst of panic. Thank you, Dan!

I bought this book as soon as it was announced, because, well it's about a topic I really care about and by a person I was a huge fan of for a long time, so it was absolutely worth it. It took me a very long time though to read it, which can be attributed to multiple reasons but that made me have less of a connection with it. Still, it is very good, I would recommend it to have a baseline for mental health understanding. Very important work and well done!

personally, i learned approx. nothing. however, it's still a good starting point for ppl just learning how to cope with their mental health. it's fantastic for his audience in particular. goes over a lot of basic concepts, but doesn't go in depth in any of them.
