This book was cute if nothing else. An entertaining read with an interesting premise. I though framing self-realization through birthday wishes, was quite clever, and it made me try to figure out what I had wished for, though I couldn't seem to come up with anything. Anyway, it was a cute book. There were a few editing things that were a little weird, but over all it was a quick, fun read.

           Yeah, so I adored this plot. It was such a great idea, but the execution of it was rather drab. I didn’t connect with any of the characters, or even the main character. At the end of the book, when Kayla’s dad arrived to see her, she completely rejected him, which was terrible. It was probably really hard for him to get the guts to go speak to her and she acted as if he was the spawn of Satan. Yeah, he’s not about to win dad of the year, but give the guy some credit. And a,os, Kayla acted as if she was a terrible person and needed a “clean slate”. Let me tell you, Nicole was awful. I despised her. And if you don’t think you can tell your best friend that you kinda like a guy in 6th grade, that’s really sad. Anyways, in the end this book was mildly entertaining but it was overall kind of “meh”.
