i love when a story wraps itself up nicely, and while the ending laid everything on a bit thick i really enjoyed this book the entire way through! I thought the setup, the premise, the characters, and the development was all so well executed. it truly is what it says on the tin: an anti-colonialist space opera! the main character stealing relics from museums and giving them back to their rightful nations is inspirational 🫡 I really enjoyed the audiobook also, I thought the narrator did a really nice job, especially since giving an understandable sound to alien voices is super hard. an underrated thing I enjoyed about this book, and another area I thought the narrator did a great job with, was using varied pronouns for the alien characters, particularly I liked the xenopronouns for the frenro. wil as a muscly woman could please step on me. overall, loved it and will be reading deep sky!
