No Game No life Volume 1 is self proclaimed as the author's first novel. The illustrations are breath-taking and the world + setting + games compelling. There are elements which you have to get past in order to enjoy the book for what it truly is, but with full bias towards kid me and many years down the line, I can frankly say that reading the original light novel was worth the hype I waited for.
