Rich private school kids with secrets, conversations on having to be an achiever, fixing other people's problems to avoid your own — all with an unreliable narrator who changes the story so it would fit the narrative in her head.

I admit there were a few things that didn't substantially hold up for me, and I did wish to see more than a quick wrap-up of Hana and Luce's friendship. I also saw the twist coming, but I still liked the writing and the rewind-style reveal towards the end, so bumping this up to 4 stars. I do love unreliable narrators.

I was vibing until the very sudden unreliable narrator bit that included addressing the reader. It felt pointless and repetitive, as we read the same scenes again. We remember the scenes, let the sudden shift (if you're going to do that) speak for itself.

I received an ARC from HarperCollins for review. All thoughts are my own. Absolutely loved this book! I was hooked from the first to the last page and ended up reading the whole thing in a day.  I loved everything about this book, especially our leading lady, Hana Yang Lerner. I loved her personality and her witty remarks. I loved reading through her perspective and uncovering her truth throughout the story. 

I loved the whole premise of the book and how things fit into place. Everything fell together perfectly and it was such a huge a-ha moment when everything was uncovered. The plot twists were 

. I didn’t figure them out until it was too late and I had to keep reading to find out all the dirty details. 

All in all, I enjoyed this book through and through and I can’t wait until it comes out February 2023!

The plot twists were chef’s kiss. I didn’t figure them out until it was too late and I had to keep reading to find out all the dirty details. 

All in all, I enjoyed this book through and through and I can’t wait until it comes out February 2023!
