The list provides detailed information about Arabic Persian and Urdu inscriptions found in South India (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu). The reader is greatly assisted by an exhaustive index under different heads like Places, Dates, Dynasties, Rulers, Personal names, Administrative posts, Technical Terms, Monetary denomination, Books, etc. The List would, thus, serve as a primary source for all researchers in the field of Medieval History and Culture of South India.
