I really enjoyed this book. It gave me “Sex in the city” kinda vibes. I absolutely love Maya, she is such a strong, successful, brave character and I feel every young lady could look up to her. This book reminds us that sometimes it is worth taken them chances. I would of given it 5 stars if there was more romance between Maya & James, when it ended I wanted more. Overall an easy read that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Ah this book had such a great premise. Sounded so light and fluffy and easy to read. But the writing style was not to my taste at all. I felt sponges, as if I couldn’t understand show not tell and as if everything had to be explained to me in excruciating detail. 
The start of the book is dry exposition heavy and some of the information were given never even leads anywhere. I understand offering background information and get why it’s important... but there’s just so much. 
This book was absolutely not for me. I will try one more book by this author to see if her writing style gets better or more manageable for me, but it won’t be the next book in this series as I’m done with that!
