Reviews

This book presents interesting reflections on the open-source ecosystem, offering historical context and numerous details. Although I didn’t find these particularly engaging, it’s possible they are simply time-sensitive. I may revisit this book in the future.

A bit too focused on GitHub, but some great insights about Open Source communities.

Highlights

Focusing on the relationship between contributors and users, we can think of projects in terms of their contributor growth and user growth. This gives us four production models: federations, clubs, toys, and stadiums.
Section of the book gives examples to the various types of open source projects, what the contributor to user model looks like, and some examples out there today.

In open source, you can only have "my" in the associative sense. There is no possessive "my" in open source.
